Animatron’s commercial rights and Loopster’s admin panels are great features for entrepreneurs to utilize, and depending on the vision of the company could be deemed very useful. Animatron’s maximum video length is double that of Loopster at a lower price, and this metric is fairly inconsequential for VideoScribe as the nature of its presentation lends itself to shorter videos around 5 minutes long. Animatron and VideoScribe are also far simpler to use, at the cost of simpler media. Loopster takes away from the simplicity of Animatron and VideoScribe, but adds to the complexity of videos that you can make.Īlthough I think VideoScribe grants the highest quality output of the three, Loopster’s diverse subscription options account for the needs of entrepreneurs at every level and broadens what you can make. They also offer a second tier with negligible upgrades and a package for educators. For larger businesses the most expensive option would be great as it includes 50 employees per package and manager admin panels. The plus membership allows you to make videos up to 20 minutes long at 1080p compared to 30-minute videos at 1080p with ten times the storage for the business package. For entrepreneurs I would recommend the first and fourth tier subscriptions (plus membership and business package), priced at $4.99/month and $129/every three months, respectively. Again, there is a free version to try but it’s very limited and I would not recommend using it for anything more serious than tinkering. This tool is more for entrepreneurs that want to make content by uploading their own footage, which serves a different purpose than the aforementioned animation tools. The third and final tool pertaining to direct video creation is Loopster which is a more traditional editing software akin to iMovie. Screenshot of VideoScribe’s user interface In terms of making simple animated videos Animatron was the best tool I found as long as it fits within the scope of what you’re looking to produce. As far as functionality goes, I was very impressed with Animatron’s user interface as it was very intuitive and easy to use. The most interesting differentiating feature between plans for entrepreneurs are its commercial rights the pro plan gives you rights for your company only, meanwhile the business plan offers 3rd-party transfer rights. Conversely, the pro plan allows you to make unlimited videos of up to 10 minutes at 720p and on the business plan you can make videos of up to one hour at 1080p. The lite version only allows for up to 5 watermarked projects, which are limited to standard definition and cannot exceed 1 minute in length. They offer an extremely limited lite version for free (which is the only one I tried), as well as a pro plan for $15/month and a business plan for $30/month. Today I will be reviewing Animatron, VideoScribe, Loopster, Viedit, and Vibby.Īnimatron is an online video maker that uses drag-and-drop functionality to create animated videos for businesses and individuals.
