It will never happen officially because JJ is too pig headed to create new or special rules for them. I've had a Dodge Ball idea kicking around for a long time (even before that stupid movie) and maybe that would fit the 40K world? I would stay away from Soccer, Rugby and Hockey since they are really too similar to what we have already to be any different. Though, baseball might be too "slow" and maybe Basketball would be a better fit. Design it similar to the old Nintendo game Base Wars and you might have something. Make it humans only.or maybe Humans, Eldar and Orc. I think the reason the 40K thing never works isn't the futuristic angle of it.I think it's the football aspect of it. Personally, I don't care much for the above suggestions but am thinking of ways that Fanatic could make money and get more support.Although these ideas may be flawed, we should try to come up with a workable solution rather than giving up and letting this go out like a damp squib. I don't know how it would work but there are quite a few posts (every so often about full chaos teams - god affiliated) Now before anyone reacts badly to the following, I am only trying to come up with possible solutions.ġ - "Future Bloodbowl" 40k races with revamped rules for the various differences in game - which may attract the 40k fans = more money spent by gamersĢ - proper Chaos teams - with all the whistles and bells associated. I don't play any of the core games or any others of the specialist range either but was mainly musing over Bloodbowl. The big bad is obviously concentrating more on the core games - 40k, Warhammer and L.O.T.R and can't be patient enough to make long term money on any of the specialist range. Lets face it if the games were supported enough by us then there wouldn't be this current predicament. Which led me to thinking about the presumed decline of Fanatic and the specialist games in general. It started as I was thinking about warhammer and the different types that you get eg Historical and fantasy - different themes based on a similar rule set. I had an idea (usually a bad sign ) and wanted to put it out here!.
